AI governance assessment for banks

The AI Agent Access Readiness Assessment

Can you prove your agents should have access? Sixteen questions to answer before an AI agent reaches production.

An agent may perform well in a pilot, but risk will stop it reaching production until you can answer three questions. Which systems can it reach? Who authorised it to act? How quickly can you withdraw its access?

What's inside

  • 16 scored questions across identity, delegated authority, revocation and audit
  • A 0 to 32 score that tells you whether to act now, close the gaps or test what you have
  • Five practical next steps, including how to run a revocation test
  • A worked example of what changes when an agent replaces an application

Trusted by central banks, tier-1 banks and national data-sharing schemes.

A worked example

When an agent replaces an application, the person drops out of the access decision

An application called known APIs in a fixed order. An agent gathers wider context and passes work to other agents. Every system it reaches sees the agent, not the relationship manager who asked.

  1. Relationship manager
  2. Client review agent
  3. Balance retrieval agent
  4. Accounts API · Transactions API · CRM records

Unless the delegation history travels with each request, the relationship manager who authorised the review is not part of the access decision at any of these systems.

The assessment asks four questions at every hop

1

Who is this agent?

Identity and issuance

2

Whose authority does it carry?

Delegated authority and scope

3

Can you stop it, fast?

Revocation and containment

4

Can you prove it afterwards?

Audit and cross-domain trust

Why download it

Use it to get your teams agreeing on the evidence, not the assumptions. You'll:

  • Find the gaps that would stop an agent at the production gate, before your risk team does
  • Check whether systems can see whose authority an agent carries, including when it hands work to another agent
  • Learn how long it really takes to stop an agent, and whether revocation reaches the work it has already delegated
  • Know if you could show who authorised an agent action, and which permissions applied at the time
  • Leave with an owner, a target date and a test for each gap

Who it is for

Architecture, security and AI product teams taking agents from pilot to production, especially where an agent can reach client records or carry out transactions. Each team answers separately, then you compare scores and agree what the evidence shows. Agents still in a sandbox can use it as a design review.
