    Operations Engineering Team Lead

    I joined Raidiam in 2019 as a graduate. Being a young company and small team at the time meant I got exposure to all areas of the business. I soon realised I was interested in DevOps and was encouraged to follow my interests by moving into a role more focussed on this. As the company grew, I was promoted to team lead to develop our DevOps capabilities and took on the training and mentoring of our new recruits, a role which I’ve always enjoyed. With the continued growth, I recognised the needs of the business were changing and raised this with Ralph, one of our co-founders. With his support I moved areas again to where I felt I could add value and further develop our client offering. One responsibility I’ve been given is attending weekly meetings of a global working group monitoring the use of the FAPI standard in Open Banking implementations – this has been excellent industry exposure for me. The flexibility and support to try new things and develop skillsets has always made Raidiam a stand-out employer for me. Not only is it brilliant for personal development but the company benefits from being agile and using its people to the best of their abilities.

    I joined Raidiam in 2021 with a young family in tow. I was looking for a role that suited my skillset and a company that was supportive of flexible working. Luckily, I found both! It was immediately apparent that the company genuinely understood the demands of juggling family life and that this shouldn’t be seen as a barrier or negative in any way. My whole experience was refreshing from the start, with a two-way conversation about working hours and finding a balance that worked for me and the needs of the business. It can take a while to find that sweet spot but my line manager supported me throughout and we could have honest conversations. I’m able to be fully committed to my job without feeling that work encroaches on my time being a parent.

    Deputy Team Lead

    I joined Raidiam as a Junior Developer in January 2021 fresh from graduating university. I happened to start the same week that Open Banking went live in Brazil so the team was incredibly busy. This meant I had to bring myself up to speed quickly – which was a fantastic opportunity as it put me in good stead to rapidly progress. When fellow graduates started a few months later I was able to act as their mentor and get them orientated, which led to a promotion into management and I’ve continued to progress from there. Despite the team being so busy, I’ve felt fully supported from day one and there’s always been someone happy to take time out to provide explanations or answer my questions. No two days are ever the same with varied work, constant opportunities to learn and real recognition of personal achievements. Along with the support to grow in our roles, I appreciate the value shown to us as individuals – for me this is having the flexibility to work my hours to fit in my passion for climbing.

We make sure each job advert we publish includes what to expect at every stage of the process so you can prepare and put forward your best self.

Our interviews are a two-way process – it’s as much about you deciding that we’re the right company for you as it is us checking role fit. We firmly believe an interview should be an enjoyable conversation, not a thorough interrogation.
